We are extending the entry time to Wednesday the 3rd of December due to the holidays.

We have a new giveaway and this time it for all the marbles. We are giving away a Limited Edition copy Gears of War 2 along with some Gears swag (thanks to Game Crazy) and a medium VillainTech.com tshirt (medium is all we have in stock). Instructions on how to qualify after the break.

To be entered to win this giveaway, simply visit pcweenies.com, look at a few strips and tell us your favorite one. Seriously, that’s all you have to do to get a chance to score a free copy of this already platinum title. You’ll have until Tuesday the 25th Wednesday the 3rd, then we’ll pick a winner, assuming s/he follows the rules: (And yes, if you posted in the tshirt giveaways win or lose, you may post again in this one and you must post a comment to qualify for this giveaway)

  • You may enter other VillainTech contests, however…
  • You may only enter this contest once; if you enter more than once on this particular contest post you’ll be automatically disqualified and barred from all future giveaways. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.) You may enter future VillainTech giveaway contests though!
  • You can only win once. (If you win and then try to go for a second prize during our giveaways, you’ll be automatically disqualified, etc. unless specified otherwise.)

i looked at a lot of the strips and the one i liked the most was called saturday bonus. i liked that one a lot because it deals with your job, when you work some where for six days of the week and its your day off the last thing you want to do is go back to that evil, wretched, dark place…

My favorite is Free Tech Support (http://tinyurl.com/pcwcontest). Showing my parents how gmail worked was one of our greatest moments together :)

    The Usual Suspects

The definitions are so spot on accurate. Had me cracking up at my desk. I’ve literally encountered every single one of these characters at several of my old jobs now. Thank god I moved into consulting. I’m a network engineer at a small consulting place, and the amount of case examples is much smaller (though I still encounter them) then working level 1 tech support. The worst is the hoverer, man, especially if its a higher up, and you hate having people stare at you while you’re doing your job. That’s just the worst. Little annoying bombardment questions while you’re trying to figure out how they messed up their equipment.

http://pcweenies.net/2008/07/25/qt-with-the-fam/ when Bob spends quality time with his family. That one cracked me up, and I sent it to so many people. Love PC Weenies, been reading it for years. Great stuff.

It has to be “Early-Riser” September 10th, 2008.
Easily my favorite because its happened to -everyone-
Thats like a weekend thing for most people, I know I did that several times.
It was so amusing because I got up, it was still dark, so I get ready, then bam:
    Its freaking 8:00pm.
    Kudos!

My favourite comic is a tossup between two but this one narrowly edges in first. 26/06/2008 bonus-strip – bills last day
This is my favourite because of the three day effort that was going from Vegas editor to WMM to help with a friends final assessment for year 12 (final year in school in AUS). Not a day I like to remember.

The second choice would be 2008/06/30/ unwritten rules of the game. I send this to a couple of buddies also involved in IT and it circulated in at least 4 office buildings.

I kinda do this too. Also I try to avoid them by looking busy, carrying a big random box of something I’m not going to buy, or sometimes even running away when I know they are coming toward me.

I have always liked “The Slacker Programmer’s Guide to Surviving the Work Day” from Feb. 1, 2008 because it mirrors my repetitive, lazy, nerdy life.

I’ve read pcweenies for a long time now, but I think my favorite one in recent memory is “The 10 million gamble” about the Seinfeld commercials.
    http://pcweenies.com/2008/09/08/the-10-million-gamble/

I’ve sent it to everyone who complained/questioned the ads. They all laughed as much as I did. Great stuff!
Love the site, it’s on my daily bookmark list. =D

Please count me in Dave…the shirt I won from you a while back got mangled in our breaking dryer and I wore it religiously…I loved the T-shirt.

I would really love to win; christmas is coming right around the corner and I’d love to get this cool gear for my son (only I’d keep the shirt again!!!)

    Thanks a million!!!

Thanks for disregarding the first comment!!!!

My favorite stip (one that made me roll over laughing) was the “passing-the-buck”
    http://pcweenies.com/2008/10/17/passing-the-buck/

that was hillarious and happens so often. You get the run around from one area to another (well, in this case; only one) just to find out no one can or will help you anyways!!!! (ARGH!!!)

The PC Weenies is a pretty cool site. I’ve added them to my favorites for future laughs!!!
    Thanks Dave!
    -barbara ;)
