Star Trek XI

Many eyes, whether it be on fan message boards or beyond the Internet, have been intently focused upon the new Star Trek movie hitting theaters on May 8th. After a several year hiatus succeeding the 10th film Star Trek: Nemesis, J.J. Abrams (producer of Cloverfield) decided to pick up this everlasting franchise and is boldly going where no one has gone before with Star Trek.
Across various communities online there has been a great deal of positive feed back regarding this movie—hopefully it won’t be a disappointment. Abrams is trying to accomplish something very difficult because it isn’t often one can take completely new actors and actresses and convey the feeling the original stars produced. I’m relatively positive about this.
Apparently, Leonard Nimoy (actor who played the original Spock for those of you who don’t know) is rumored to be apart of this movie somehow. Which is definitely exciting!
I’ll keep everyone updated on this movie, and when it comes out I’ll definitely make a review!
Let us celebrate my fellow Trekkie fans!

Good post! I’m really excited for this movie, though my favorite is “First Contact.”

Thanks!
Yeah “First Contact” and “Generations” will always be two of my favorite Star Trek films. I’ve grown very fond of the Next Generation cast (granted I still like the original cast too). I just hope this movie will live up to the legacy the Original Series established 40 some years ago. =]
